Butterhead lettuce, a type of lettuce that includes Bibb and Boston. Characterized by loose, roundish heads of tender, silky leaves with a slightly sweet, buttery taste with a crunchy stem.
Perfect for salads, able to stand alone against bold dressings. Also great for smoothies, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, and lettuce cups.

Matt Yoder's passion for growing things, once a simple childhood joy, has become a thriving business. Fueled by his life-long passion to grow plants and experiment, Matt spent hours doing research, investing in formal training, and working with the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC) and the Ohio State University Extension Service to become a grower of Gourmet Hydroponic Lettuce.

His lettuce would be grown without chemicals and would be non-GMO. Add to the equation a greenhouse without the benefit of electricity piped in, because Matt is Amish.

The hydroponics system was built using five natural springs that flow on Matt's land.
